My drawing is a lot darker, that's partly because of the media> watercolor pencils on black paper.
I made some changes in the eyes and fur..

love this! Pallas cats still have that look of the wild in them. You captured it perfectly.

I love how you've made the eyes glow in your rendition - that shade of gold is gorgeous!
I've never tried watercolour pencil on black paper before, but I have used prismacolor pencils on the black paper. It has such a nice effect!

Yes, you can get very nice effects on thick, darker papers :)
